Mt Mcloughlin is about 30 miles from my home. I summited it once. Up was hard, down was...using nice words...torture. But the feeling of accomplishment was huge! This painting was inspired by that amazing day. We experienced twilight, as well as dark of night before we made it back down to the trailhead.
